I am running to provide support to unrepresented District 14 constituents—including Hispanic individuals living in our trailer parks and neighbors who feel unknown to current leadership. I see you, and I want to ensure your needs and concerns are well represented. With extended expertise in affordable housing from working at WHEDA and DOA running affordable rental housing programs, I bring technical knowledge to the Common Council.
I have extensive experience creating and supporting affordable rental housing in Wisconsin.l
I am a strong proponent of the Bus Rapid Transit system in Madison, and work to make this system compatible and supportive of the homes, as well as small and family owned businesses along it's routes.
I strongly support our police and want to strengthen their training in dealing with and deescalating mental health and drug/alcohol interactions so that the community members get access to support and treatment and avoid jail .
